HPRA Constitution and By-laws
The HPRA Constitution and By-laws state:
03-01
Active Membership: shall be comprised of:
a) Retired members of the City of Hamilton Police Service and the Hamilton-Wentworth Regional Police Force who are receiving service pensions.
b) Members of the Hamilton Police Services who meet the criteria under the terms of the Collective Agreement and who elect to receive the commuted value of their pension value. (amended November 21, 2007)
c) Retired members of the Hamilton Police Association who meet equivalent retirement criteria as set out in the terms of the Collective Agreements of the Hamilton Police Association. (amended November 19, 2008)
d) Members who are retired and receiving service disability pensions.
e) Surviving spouses of above members. (amended November 22, 2006)
f) Surviving spouses of members who died while in the employ of the Hamilton Police Services (Hamilton-Wentworth Regional Police Force). (amended November 21, 2007)
03-02
Associate Police Members may be appointed on recommendation of the Board of Directors and with the approval of the Membership at any General Meeting. Individuals seeking Associate Membership must have completed a minimum of ten (10) years service with the Hamilton Police Service or Hamilton-Wentworth Regional Police Force, or the POLICE forces that comprised the Hamilton-Wentworth Regional Police Forces in 1974, or the Hamilton (Hamilton-Wentworth) Police Association. The membership year shall be for a twelve (12) month calendar year for the purpose of dues.
04-02
The membership fee for all dues paying members shall be;
twenty dollars ($20.00) per calendar year for all Active Members and Associate Police Members.
ten ($10.00) per calendar year for Surviving Spouses as defined in 03-01 (e) & (f).

a)
My personal information shall not be released by any member to anyone outside the Hamilton Police Retirees' Association (HPRA) and/or Police Pensioners Association of Ontario (PPAO), unless the Hamilton Police Retirees' Association, Board of Directors deem it necessary to provide important information or services to me.
b)
Release of my personal information will always be subject to the provisions of the HPRA Privacy Policy and the PPAO Privacy Code.
c)
I will comply with the HPRA Privacy Policy and will not release any other personal information obtained through the HPRA without their consent.
