It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.   Cherished husband for 61 years to Gloria (nee Saulnier). Loving father to Kathie (Steve) and Sandra. Wonderful grandpa to Sierra (Muzala), Mike (Jenna) and Christine (Brendon). Dear great-grandpa to Owen and Penelope. Predeceased by his mother, Violet Pittaway (1981).

Served in the Canadian Navy on board the HMCS Bonaventure aircraft carrier. Worked at the Hamilton Spectator for 27 years. Then worked at the Hamilton Police Service in the maintenance department. A member of the Emmanuel United Church.

Thank you to the caring staff at Juravinski Hospital ER and ICU departments, especially Dr. J. Dionne and Nurse Cassandra for their compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 22 at 2:30 p.m. at Emmanuel United Church, 871 Upper Ottawa Street, Hamilton, Ontario, with a reception to follow at the church.

Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
