With the love of her family and friends surrounding her, Barbara peacefully passed away at the age of 74 on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton. She joins the love of her life, Gene Williams, and her brother, Bill Lock. Barbara leaves her daughters, Kara (Peter) and Amy (Ted), and her beloved granddaughter, Alora, to live her legacy. She was a wonderful mother, “gramma”, sister to Marilyn, sister-in-law to Susan, aunt, and friend to many. Barbara lived her calling as a nurse for decades, touching many lives, and finding great joy in nursing. In retirement she continued to enjoy time with friends, travel, and making memories with her family, especially Alora. Barbara was always there when we needed her. She loved fully and was very loved. She will be deeply missed.

We welcome you to join us in honoring Barbara’s life at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road), STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. We invite you to make memorial contributions to The Alzheimer Society in Barbara’s honor, in lieu of flowers. We also wish to extend our deep appreciation for the care provided for Barbara by the St. Joseph’s Palliative Care team. Their care of Barbara and our family made all the difference in the past few weeks.
