While expressing love and words of thanks to those who cared for him, Peter quietly passed April 7, 2022, in his 91st year. He will be remembered as a gentle, kind man with beautiful blue eyes, a genuine smile, and a great sense of humour. Although his time with us is over, Peter can rest assured his journey will continue through many conversations filled with love and laughter. His story will be told through memories and smiles of the people who love him and the people whose lives he touched so graciously. Born in Wales, he later moved to Ireland and was proud to serve in the Royal Ulster Constabulary until emigrating to Canada. Peter was a highly respected member of the Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police Service for 36 years and was married to the love of his life, Betty for almost 61 years. He set his standards high, taught his children and grandchildren to be true and honest and will be missed dearly. In his own words, “We’ve had a good run.” A private internment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at 16 Erika Crescent on June 11th from 1-4 p.m.
