January 10 1954 – May 10 2022, passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 68 after a long battle with cancer.He is predeceased by his parents, Lavinia and Murray Cathcart. He is survived by his children, Greg Melanson (Cheri Saxon), Holly Garreau (Eugene Garreau), Mindy-Lee Paquette (James Paquette), James ME Cathcart (Lisa Miller), his brother James Cathcart (Lillian Cathcart), 1 niece, 1 nephew, 11 grandchildren, cousins, Aunts, family, friends and many colleagues at Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police (Station 30). He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. There will be a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
