Passed away on July 17, 2021, in her 97th year. She died at home peacefully. Pre-deceased by her “loved husband and life-time best friend” Bob, of which they enjoyed 75 years of marriage in 2019. As well, missing her are her “ever-loved” and “enjoyed” daughter and son Joy-Anne and Scott, and her favourite daughter-in-law Terri-Lynn. She will never be forgotten by the “joys of her life” grandchildren Rebecca and Robert. Born and raised in Halifax she met Bob while working at “Eastern Air Command” where he was stationed during WWII with the RCAF “119th – Tiger Squadron (Hamilton)”. They came to Hamilton after the war and built a life here raising two children while her husband built a career in the Hamilton Police Department. Mom was an active volunteer with St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Westdale and latterly with St. John’s in Ancaster. She also volunteered for years at the Hamilton General Hospital. Special thanks to the staff from Highgate residence for their care and love for my mother. A service for family will be held. Consideration for Salvation Army or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by mom.
